Urgent action: Condemn the Anti-Homosexuality Bill

The Ugandan Anti-Homosexuality Bill is being discussed in the Ugandan Parliament this week. There are strong indications that there will be a vote on the bill by the end of the week.

Up until his death David Kato was a leading voice in condemnation of the bill.

Please speak out for David – sign the petition opposing the bill at: http://www.allout.org/en/petition/uganda

Faith and LGBT event

Following on from the Faith and LGBT event we held last week, a couple of links that may be of interest:

Highlights of the event can be found at –

The keynote speech at the event, given by gay rights activist Godwyns Onwuchekwa, can be found at –

It is well worth a read and starts with a heart-felt and moving tribute to David.

Next steps

Following on from last week’s welcomed statement by the Archbishop of York’s condemning David’s murder, and homophobic violence more broadly, we are looking to develop the campaign.

We would love to hear you ideas. Please send your thoughts as to what you would like to see us do next to –  speakout4davidkato@gmail.com
