Statement by the Archbishop of York

4 May

We are delighted to announce that the Archbishop of York has provided us with the following statement:

“I agree wholeheartedly with the statement made by the Archbishop of Canterbury and the Primates of the Anglican Communion in Dublin, at the time of David Kato’s brutal murder. No-one should have to live under the threat of violence and death, or live in fear because of the bigotry of others. Such violence has been consistently condemned by the Anglican Communion worldwide. Every person has the right to enjoy safety and security regardless of their beliefs or orientation – we are all created in God’s image and likeness.”
